- Finnish ŠKODA importer joins forces with country’s all-new WRC event
- Helkama-Auto Oy to provide ŠKODA cars to rally officials
- ŠKODA branding will be visible on stages and in host city Rovaniemi
With the countdown to the first Arctic Rally Finland powered by CapitalBox continuing, event organiser AKK Sports Oy is delighted to announce an exciting partnership with Škoda’s Finnish importer, Helkama-Auto Oy.
As part of the alliance, ŠKODA becomes Official Car of Arctic Rally Finland, while its branding and support vehicles will be visible throughout the Rovaniemi-based event from February 26-28.
ŠKODA supply SUPERB, KODIAQ, KAROQ, OCTAVIA and SCALA models for use by event officials to carry out their various duties for the duration of round two of the 2021 FIA World Rally Championship.

All vehicles supplied to Arctic Rally Finland Powered by CapitalBox officials will undergo a rigorous cleaning process in accordance with COVID-19 protocols before and after use.

With over 20 ŠKODA Fabia rally cars entered on Arctic Rally Finland powered by CapitalBox, the Czech manufacturer is the event’s most dominant car brand. In addition to Norway’s Andreas Mikkelsen, who tops the WRC2 entry in a Toksport WRT-run Škoda Fabia Rally2 Evo, reigning TGS Worldwide drivers Finnish champion Teemu Asunmaa and last year’s runner-up, Emil Lindholm, will also rely on ŠKODA power in Rovaniemi. Sweden’s former FIA World Rallycross champion will also compete in a Fabia on his return to WRC duty for the first time in 15 years.
